Donor Privacy & Contribution Policy

01Tax-deductible status

Create & Cultivate (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a nonprofit organization recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, EIN 88-1557753, with its principal mailing address at 2413 Kittyhawk Dr, Plano, TX 75025-6093.

Contributions to Create & Cultivate are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Our EIN is 88-1557753. No goods or services are provided in exchange for a contribution unless we state otherwise in writing at the time of the gift.

02We never sell donor information

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share our donor list with any other organization for their marketing purposes. Donor information is used only to process gifts, issue receipts, provide acknowledgement, and communicate about our mission.

03Anonymity

You may request that your gift remain anonymous and that your name be omitted from any published donor listing. Tell us at the time of your gift, or contact us afterward.

04Receipts and acknowledgement

We provide a written acknowledgement for every contribution. For gifts of $250 or more, we provide a contemporaneous written acknowledgement meeting IRS substantiation requirements. Keep it for your tax records.

05Restricted and unrestricted gifts

Unrestricted gifts are applied where the need is greatest. Restricted gifts are used for the purpose you designate. If a restricted purpose becomes impractical, we will contact you, or apply the gift to a closely related purpose consistent with our mission and our board's fiduciary duty.

06Donation refunds

Donations are generally final. If you made an error — a duplicate gift, an incorrect amount, or an unauthorized charge — contact us within 30 days and we will review and, where appropriate, refund it.

07Payment security

Donations are processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.

08Gift acceptance

We reserve the right to decline a gift that is inconsistent with our mission, that carries conditions we cannot fulfil, or that could jeopardize our tax-exempt status.
